The Town of Caroga was formed on April 11, 1842.      It was composed of lands of the Towns of Stratford, Bleecker, and Johnstown.

Meeting News

Upcoming Town Board Meetings:  There will be a Town Board Work Session on February 26, 2025 at 3:30 pm to discuss the geo plotting of the proposed highway barn.  The board will also conduct any and all business to come before them.   The Regular monthly meetings of the Caroga Town Board are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm.   The next Regular Monthly  meeting is on Wednesday March 12th at 6:30  pm.  In person attendance is welcome.

Town Clerk Office Hours January thru April – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9 – 3, Thursday and Saturday 9 – noon.            May thru December 31th 2025: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday 9 am – 3 pm,  Saturday 9 – 12.   Thursday’s by appointment.  
Appointments can also be scheduled for other times convenient to the public.
